Have carried on with the half marathons last year and this year I'M DOING THE LONDON MARATHON.....Ahhhhh!!!! Fundraising for Princess Alice Hospice where my mum died many over 20yrs ago now. Just trying to lose weight and keep fit as I approach 40 next year. Love hiking and biking. Used to spend time in the gym with my dad (seasoned hammer and discus thrower) as a teenager and exercise helped a lot when coping with being the sole carer for my mum before she died when I was 18. Outdoors and nature seem to be the answer to most problems, and now I feel fit enough to enjoy being outdoors even more!

Contributorgold Sam S From struggling around a 5k in 2012 to completing the London Marathon in 2014 things have certainly changed. I'm fitter and stronger than ever, committed to improving my running, and have raised lots of money for the hospice my mum stayed in when I was a teenager. I can't believe I hadn't taken this up years before. The best thing of all is my confidence and self-esteem have changed beyond belief!
