Running kept me sane until a back injury meant that I can't run anymore :(
I'm making do with yoga and getting back into swimming, but being in the water doesn't match the high of running for me. Still, keep on keeping on, eh?

(Of course, I should really take the pedal off the metal because I'm making life very challenging for myself if I take this challenge again next year)

Not free :( but I'm getting 3 coaching sessions a week for the next 12 weeks all for the princely sum of €80 at the College through the Swim a Mile challenge. I'm practicing the drills like crazy now - breaking the habits of a lifetime!

Sinéad M Learn to swim Front Crawl Challenge

Contributorgold Sinéad M I started a 3 month coaching programme yesterday (3 days per week for 12 weeks) and it turns out that despite the compliment 2 weeks ago, my front crawl needs a lot of work. The good news is that even after only 2 sessions, I'm breaking it down and I can already begin to notice where my stroke can be improved. Looking forward to being brilliant by the end of the 3 months!

Sinéad M Swim the distance of the English Channel in 4 weeks Challenge

Contributorgold Sinéad M I'm drifting off-target on this one... Week 1 (26/01-01/02): 7.2km; Week 2 (02-08/02): 8.0km ; Week 3 (09-15/02): 8.08km; Week 4 (16-22/02): 8.12km. Total: 31.4km. I'll lose the weak 7.2k when this rolls over to next week, so a serious effort this week might be enough to get me over the line :)
