strength trainig for runners legs can be really simple and doesnt need a gym.
- One leg squats
- Walking lunges
- Run fast, on front of foot, up hills

Have you change anything recently? Training plan, run routes, shoes, time of day you run? All these can effect the way you run.
It sounds like it maybe the case and you are using your muslce ever so slightly differently.
