Started running just over a year ago. Did my first 10k last year, then I completed a couple of triathlons.Ramped up my running again this and did a half marathon in March. Just completed my first full marathon

Tina S The running injury experiment Challenge

Contributorbronze Tina S I injured myself almost 8 weeks through over training. I hurt my inside calf muscle, through doing too much with no rest days in between. I was running 3-4 times a week and cycling twice. I completed an awesome triathlon and had no rest day then went unto a 15 km run the ext day. Very bad idea, my calf hurt the whole time and I did not stop, at the end I could barely walk. I was own crutches for 2 days and now 2 months later I am still not allowed to run. Physio said next week I can try a short 10 min run ,my calf still hurts though....
I am frustrated beyond belief, I have had sports physio treatments including dry needling etc. I am praying for healing soon. I wear Nike Lunarlon 4

I feel so much sympathy! I've not been able to run for 2-3 weeks now and I'm climbing the walls, so I can only imagine your frustration! Try not to lose focus and be strong! Sending you positive vibes! :)

Contributorbronze Tina S Just entered my first mountain run 22km run up Tomewin Mountain in QLD, it has a 14% gradient at some points so will be pretty hairy stuff!

Tina S Run up a mountain Challenge

Contributorbronze Tina S I am entering a local 22km mountain race the hills are up to 14% gradient so I am pretty worried! I have only ever run on the road before so it will be different.
