Emma M Can anyone help ... I went for a run last night (only 20 mins - it's been a looooong time) and today I have a really painful bruise on the back of my thigh/knee and a lump. Any idea what this could be - otherwise don't feel too stiff - assume it's the run but my mind is going to dark places ....
Sumit G You are regularly running long distances, so preparation for marathon on. Good to have support network.
100km walk, was it with Oxfam. 30 hours is great timing.

Found this run really hard, maybe because I didn't do any running mid week. Sally came for the first 7 miles, and Charley and Katy did the whole run.

With Charley for the first 5 miles, on my own for 7 miles and @matts joined me on my bike from mile 12. It was a real struggle for the last 5 miles or so, but pleased I got home. This is running time only, I had to stop several times to stretch etc. @matts was amazing at looking after me during and after the run.

I think this is my longest run on my own so far this training period. Wasn't too bad, although I did get lost, fall over, and have some watch problems! My time is a bit of a guesstimate but Worked out some of the mile times which were between 10 and 10.30

First run in a long time that I've done on my own, a bit worried about motivating myself for the full marathon distance but I'm really pleased that I managed to go at a quick pace without other faster people to drag me along. Think it's a pb for the 3 miles (28.57), I just jogged the last bit home.
