Strengthening muscles. Reducing illness. Improving flexibility. Faster recovery. Just, quite simply, feeling better.

We’re all well aware of the physical and mental benefits that regular exercise brings - not just for ourselves, but for our families as well. Despite this, it's been found that children growing up today are the most physically inactive generation yet (and that was before the added complication of a global pandemic was thrown into the mix.)

Rapidly escalating challenges including childhood obesity, increased loneliness and reduced life satisfaction are leaving our education and social care systems struggling to cope. With increasingly busy lifestyles paired with the rise of technology, ensuring we make the time to keep our families active has never been more important.

So, what can be done to help achieve this?

Our partnership with the Youth Sport Trust

Having recently celebrated their 25th anniversary, the Youth Sport Trust is a UK based children’s charity designed to harness the unique power of sport in shaping young people's lives. With an emphasis on our shared values of inclusivity and innovation, they provide young people with a supportive environment, new experiences and lifelong skills - enabling them to ultimately lead fulfilling, healthy lives.

By campaigning for real change and commanding influence at every level - from local schools to national policy - they strive to make a positive difference to young people's lives around the UK.

Supporting wider communities

As a brand built around the importance of community, we believe supporting the next generation to keep active is crucial. We believe everyone has a right to discover their own way of keeping active - whatever that may be - and that our children should be encouraged to unlock the joy and benefits that we know exercise brings.

It was this shared belief and passion that was behind our decision to partner with the Youth Sport Trust to do something a little bit different for our new Rest Day Essentials collection - our first to include a range specifically designed for kid's.

With every purchase from our Rest Day Essentials collection, we have pledged to make a donation to support the valuable work they do in improving young people’s lives through the power of physical activity.

It's our small way of helping to make a big difference.

The future

Over the last 25 years, the Youth Sport Trust has spearheaded many phenomenal achievements - including the creation of their young Ambassadors Programme and their widely praised Girls Active initiative. Through our continued partnership, we aim to support the incredible work they do on a daily basis and help more young people explore and achieve their full potential.
